Celebrating Faculty Promotions in STEM!

The StemJazz community is happy to celebrate recent faculty promotions at Brown University.

• Professor Emilia Huerta-Sanchez has been promoted to Full Professor of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology and now serves as Director of the Center for Computational Molecular Biology.
• Professor Bena M. Tshishiku has been promoted to Associate Professor of Mathematics with tenure.
• Professor Gregorio Valdez, the David and Nancy Kaplan Professor of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry, has been promoted to Full Professor.
• Professor Brenda M. Rubenstein, Vernon K. Krieble Professor of Chemistry and Professor of Physics, has been promoted to Full Professor and now leads the Data Science Initiative. Finally,
• Professor Chanelle J. Howe has been promoted to Full Professor of Epidemiology.
